Social Media & Sales Manager for The Great Barr Hotel Group

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Social Media & Sales Manager to join our hotel group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing innovative social media strategies to increase brand awareness and drive direct bookings. Additionally, the candidate will manage sales initiatives to maximize revenue and cultivate strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities Social Media Management
• Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to enhance brand presence across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X , LinkedIn, etc.).
• Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video, written) to engage followers and drive traffic to the hotel's website.
• Monitor, listen, and respond to users in a "social" way while cultivating leads and sales.
• Analyze social media campaigns with tracking systems to gather visitor data and determine efficacy and areas for social media campaign improvement.
• Collaborate with the team to develop social media timelines coinciding with brand messages.
• Monitor and report on social media trends, tools, and applications.

Sales Management & event coordination
• Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize revenue for the hotel group.
• Identify new markets and business opportunities to increase sales.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and prospects.
• Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
• Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media.
• Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
• Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.
• Participate in events and conferences on behalf of the hotel group to increase network and sales opportunities.
• Deal with incoming bookings for our restaurant or private events

Collaborative Responsibilities
• Work closely with the marketing and reservations team to ensure alignment between social media strategies and sales goals.
• Coordinate with the front desk and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Assist in developing promotional materials and marketing campaigns.
• Provide regular reports on sales and social media performance to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
• Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or Sales Manager, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of current online marketing concepts, strategy, and best practices.
• Proficiency in using social media platforms and tools for business (Microsoft office, canva, metricool).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong sales acumen with a track record of achieving targets.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.

Experience:
• Social media management: 3 years (required)
• Hotel: 2 years (preferred)
• Opera or equivalent operating systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £24,500.00 per year
