What is the role?
The SAP Functional Consultant / Configuration role is based in the Chief Information Officer Command - SAP Team and will work closely with SAP development and testing resources, together with SAP business teams.
The SAP Functional Consultant / Configuration role involves.
Translation of high-level design and business requirements into detail design documents.
Responsible for aligning SAP solutions with the defined requirements and intended business outcomes and configuration of the agreed solutions, where required.
Development of solutions in a development environment.
Technical Specialists provide expert consultancy within their area of specialism. They develop and promote technical solutions which support the business requirements of the AFP, within their area of expertise.
A Technical Specialist role does not hold any leadership or financial delegations.

What will you do?
Responsibilities include:
Reviewing business design documentation to ensure it is technically feasible and that constraints and assumptions are highlighted.
Configuring agreed solutions and working with the test team to address defects and issues.
Working collaboratively with other stakeholders to ensure there is an understanding and acceptance of proposed solutions and any limitations, constraints, and risks.
Reviewing test planning documentation to ensure it is aligned with the intended design.
Essential Requirements
You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application.
A Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Relevant SAP qualification or extensive experience and knowledge in area of expertise.
Desirable Requirements
Experience in two or more relevant modules in SAP:
SAP FI/CO
Development of financial accounting and controlling processes.
Analysing and improving business processes.
Customising and configuring the SAP FICO system
SAP Assets Management
Customising and configuring the SAP Assets Management system
SAP SRM System management
Analyse business requirements to SAP SRM functionalities.
Configure and customise SRM processes to meet business requirements.
SAP MM (Materials Management Procurements)
Customising and configuring the SAP Materials Management system
SAP Inventory Management (AFP uniform management)
Customising and configuring the SAP Inventory Management system, including AFP custom applications and processing for uniform ordering
SAP EHS
Configuring SAP EHS modules to manage environmental, health, and safety data effectively, Including Incident & Hazard reporting.
SAP Security & Authorisations
Analyse and solve SAP security and authorisation issues.
Implement SAP Security changes for approved change requests.
SAP Portal/FIORI Launchpad
Creation & Maintenance of SAP Insight portal and FIORI Launchpad content
SAP Workflow
Creation and Administration of Workflow
Automated Invoice Processing
Customising and configuring the Opentext/SAP Vendor Invoice management system.
Procurement Reporting Framework (PRF)
Configuration, upgrade management of the PRF functionality (reporting to Austender)
AFP Custom Applications
Configuration and maintenance management of AFP custom applications (E.g. Drug Testing, Secondary Employment, Award Nominations, Controlled Items offsite storage)
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
