Senior Accountant

Job description
We are exclusively engaged in a search for a high-potential Senior Accountant for our PE-backed client in the commercial real estate industry. Our client is an award-winning organization with an impressive growth trajectory and is highly acquisitive. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this is a highly visible role supporting senior executives and investors.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform month-end and year-end closing responsibilities.
• Prepare financial reports and statements.
• Post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with audit requests during the annual audit.
• Manage cash funds and support treasury functions.

Requirements:
• 3-7 years of progressive accounting experience in the real estate industry
• CPA certification.
• Strong understanding of GAAP requirements.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including account reconciliations, journal entries, footnotes and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.

Preferences and Differentiators:
• Master's Degree in Accounting.
• Prior experience with a Big 4 firm.
