The Audit Office of South Australia makes an important contribution to public sector accountability and integrity. We report directly to Parliament on the audits of state and local government agencies covering financial reports and operations, controls and matters of public interest. Our audits identify whether services and activities are effective, efficient and properly accounted for. We also provide recommendations to public sector agencies on future improvements they could make to deliver better outcomes to the South Australian community.

The role

This role provides the opportunity to apply your human resources consulting expertise to support our employees and managers and develop HR strategic solutions that build workforce capability.

Working as the Senior in our HR team, you will be responsible for:

providing expert advice into, and coordinating projects and activities relating to, strategic HR and organisational restructure and business reform initiatives to support cultural change strategies and programs
designing and contributing to the delivery and evaluation of organisational learning development programs and activities
providing a high-level HR consultancy service on a diverse range of complex and sensitive HR matters
identifying and delivering process improvement initiatives and activities across all HR functions.
What you will need to succeed

Significant level of knowledge in designing and delivering of contemporary HR management and development and related programs/practices.
Proven experience in design, delivery and evaluation of organisational learning development initiatives to build employee capability.
Demonstrated capability to work under broad direction to develop and deliver culture change initiatives and programs.
Demonstrated consulting and relationship management experience at operational and senior levels on a range of complex and sensitive HR matters including managing and improving recruitment, selection, retention, performance management and employee case management processes.
Well-developed knowledge of project management principles and HR policy frameworks.
Demonstrated experience in undertaking high level research, analysis and reviews to provide expert advice and prepare reports and associated papers.
Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
