Job Title: Senior Digital Marketing Manager

Salary: £60,000-£70,000 per annum

Location: Coventry – Hybrid working

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Digital Marketing Manager to lead our E-commerce and digital marketing efforts for a Wholesale Hair and Beauty company. This B2B-focused role involves full responsibility for managing and developing our E-commerce and marketing functions, ensuring that all digital and social media activities align with our brand and company objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in driving E-commerce sales growth, and will be adept at managing and mentoring a high-performing team. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, capable of working autonomously and collaboratively to enhance our brand’s reputation and drive business growth.

Purpose of the Role
• Oversee and develop the E-commerce and digital functions.
• Lead and grow the Marketing team.
• Manage and enhance the overall Marketing function.

Key Accountabilities
• Achieve E-commerce sales targets.
• Ensure the website is on-brand, functional, and competitive.
• Display all promotions on the website.
• Align digital and social media postings with company objectives and achieve KPI targets.
• Deliver all marketing campaigns on-brand, on time, and within budget.
• Foster a motivated and capable marketing team that embraces a culture of continuous improvement.

Main Responsibilities:

E-commerce Function
• Meet sales targets for group websites and hotline.
• Ensure customer UX is on-brand and up-to-date with industry standards.
• Keep website products updated, including prices, descriptions, and imagery; liaise with the buying team for product updates.
• Coordinate segmented weekly email campaigns with the team.
• Develop and manage PPC/SEO strategies with agencies to meet web and hotline performance targets.
• Manage Trustpilot relationships, responding to all 4 and 5-star reviews and staying close to customer feedback.
• Update website policies and procedures, ensuring all transactional processes and content uploads are legally compliant.

Social Media & Digital
• Develop and implement a Social Media strategy, including content and posting schedules.
• Leverage social media to identify and acquire customers.
• Drive traffic to websites and increase brand visibility.
• Achieve financial objectives by preparing annual budgets, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
• Enhance brand reputation, recognition, and appeal to new consumers to grow the business.

Marketing Function & Promotional Events
• Liaise with external marketing management companies to implement strategies.
• Manage the marketing and E-commerce budget.
• Implement effective and efficient media strategies, including analysis and monthly reporting to the executive team.
• Identify new target markets and develop associated business cases.
• Ensure all campaigns are effectively translated across online channels and are on-brand.
• Review marketing campaigns to assess success and incorporate learnings into future strategies.
• Stay updated with industry developments and incorporate best practices within the business.

Candidate Profile
• Proven track record of delivering E-commerce sales growth.
• Essential retail experience.
• Experience with premium brands.
• Demonstrable achievements in relevant marketing and E-commerce roles.
• Experienced people manager with a history of developing and mentoring team members.
• Positive, flexible, and can-do attitude.
• Hands-on approach with attention to detail.
• Strong character with the ability to challenge the norm.
• Experience with new website launches is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact at all levels of the business and with external stakeholders.
• Ability to work across different brands, adapting to different brand propositions.
• Obsessive attention to detail, well-organized, and able to prioritize and manage own diary to deliver projects on time.
• Multitasking and analytical skills.
• Relevant technical competency/qualification.
