Job Post: Embedded Firmware Principal Engineer (PE SDE)

10 years of experience in embedded firmware development
Key Skills and Expertise:
• C/C++ programming skills
• Bare metal, RTOS, and device driver development
• Linux board bring up and kernel level programming skills
• Device driver development
• End-to-end design and architecture experience in Embedded and IoT based products
• ARM based processor and microcontroller knowledge
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Debugging skills and coding expertise
• Object-oriented fundamentals and design
• Schematic reading, datasheet analysis, and technical reference manual comprehension
• Logic Analyzer, DSO/CRO, and Spectrum Analyzer usage
• Familiarity with Confluence, JIRA, GIT, SVN, bit-bucket, etc.
Good to Have:
• Understanding of Android architecture and elements like AIDL, Binder, Lifecycle, System Services, Android Framework, and AOSP
• Knowledge of Cloud Platforms like AWS, AZURE or Google cloud
• Power Management for Low Power devices
• Experience with Android, Java, and Kotlin
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
• Lead multiple projects at the technical front and lead cross-functional technical teams
• Owning the ground-up design and architecture of the embedded and IoT-based products
• Analyzing domain-specific technical or low-level requirements and modifications as per end customer or system requirement
• Driving software testing including unit, functional, and system-level requirements including manual and automated
• Performing software requirement, design, coding, and testing traceability
• Performing code review following coding guidelines and static code analysis
• Troubleshooting software problems of limited difficulty
• Documenting technical deliverables like software specifications, design document, code commenting, test cases, and test reports throughout the project life cycle
• Following defined process for software Development life cycle
• Maintaining Git Repositories and handling Merge Requests by verifying the integrity of the code with reference to the entire System
• Making timely escalation to seek required support
• Handling client communication after gathering the requirements from the technical team
• Maintaining Project Status reports weekly and sharing with client
• Analyzing the Risks, Opportunities, and Critical path in the project and Document them
• Making Bi-weekly presentation about the Project Status to the Management
• Monitoring and Mentoring team by defining and conducting training Programs within the Department
