Job description
Accounts Receivables
• Processes accounts receivable and revenue collection functions, including preparing, printing and posting invoices, following up on outstanding invoices and administering collection agency contract
• Performs transaction processing related to revenue collection and bank deposits 3. Administers point-of-sale (POS) system, resolving any associated problems 4. Ensures completeness and accuracy of all accounts receivable databases and files, including monthly, periodic and annual reconciliation of control accounts 5. Makes recommendations for continual process improvements and ensures that procedures are documented 6. Ensures accurate processing to accounts in compliance with appropriate policies and procedures, with correct application of taxes 7. Provides month end and year end accounting support, as required 8. Process incoming mail concerning collection & recording in collection software +. Communicate with clients about billing/collections discrepancies and questions. Responds to enquiries from external and internal customers 10. Engage management over any AR problems you encounter 11. AR Reconciliation & Initiate collections on past-due accounts 12. Maintain accounting ledgers as required
• Handle all special billing situations

Gst
• GST accounting - Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions related to GST, including calculating and recording input tax credits, output tax liabilities, and other GST-related entries in the accounting system
• Compliance- including timely and accurate filing of periodic GST returns, payment of GST liabilities
• Reconciliation: Conducting regular reconciliations of GST accounts/Ledgers and resolving any discrepancies to ensure accurate GST reporting and compliance.
• Advisory services: Providing guidance and advice to the business on GST-related matters, such as the correct treatment of GST for various transactions, identifying opportunities for optimizing GST position, and assisting with GST audits or disputes. including Handling notices & replies/correspondence to GST department
• Stay updated: Keeping abreast of changes in GST laws, regulations, and updates, and proactively communicating and implementing changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
