Job description
This is a short-term project, approximately six months in duration. As a senior full-stack engineer, you will join a high-impact migration project to modernize our legacy platform.
The primary focus of this role is migrating our legacy UI to Spring Boot microservices and hosting UI pages on AWS while driving code refactoring, upgrades, security, and resilience improvements, monitoring, and other operational enhancements.
Key responsibilities include:
• Designing and maintaining highly available, resilient, and secure production systems on AWS Cloud
• Migrating legacy UI systems to our new microservice architecture
• Upgrading legacy Java applications to Spring Boot applications, ensuring high-quality and secure code
• Testing, documenting, and quality-proofing work to ensure software meets business and operational needs
• Maintaining CI/CD pipelines to optimize deployment processes
• Troubleshooting issues to identify root causes and appropriate resolutions
• Supporting production deployments, operations, and maintenance activities
• Monitoring metrics and identifying ways to improve logging, reporting, and alerting
• Following agile principles and participating in Scrum ceremonies
• Collaborating with internal and external teams, including engineering, product management, support, and security teams
