ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
As the Project Finance Control Practice Lead based in Mumbai, you play a critical role in standardizing and enhancing finance practices across the organization.Reporting directly to one of the Regional CFOs, you will lead the practice of project controllers, ensuring alignment of financial activities with Business Cases/ Contracts commitments, contributing to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. Your primary objectives include harmonizing ways of working, ensuring the quality of data, and elevating competencies across the project finance controlling function. Your leadership will extend the role of project finance control beyond traditional boundaries to include tight adherence to contracts and the optimization of revenue, costs, and margins.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Strategic Financial Leadership: Develop and implement unified financial management strategies across global operations, establishing consistent financial control frameworks that align with the organization’s strategic goals.
• Operational Excellence in Financial Processes: Standardize financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Implement advanced technologies for financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support agile decision-making.
• Data Integrity and Analytics: Lead initiatives to ensure high-quality financial data to derive deep financial insights and action driven mindset within the team and stakeholders. Establish stringent data governance practices.
• Contractual Compliance and Risk Management: Oversee that the team is addressing financial compliance with contractual agreements, in managing financial risks, and addressing mitigation actions. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to align financial management with regulatory requirements.
• Performance Optimization: Set up consistent frameworks, formats, ways of working to conduct comprehensive P&L reviews of revenue, cost structures, and profit margins: so that the PFC and stakeholders can drive financial health and operational efficiency. Drive the team behaviour to Initiate strategic adjustments based on these insights.
• Leadership in Financial Reporting and Transparency: coordinate and lead the preparation and presentation of detailed financial reports to senior executives and stakeholders, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and strategic alignment.
• Capability Building and Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of financial controllers and analysts, promoting continuous professional development and accountability. Develop training programs to enhance financial analytical capabilities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Facilitate seamless integration of financial strategies with broader business operations, ensuring that all departments understand the financial implications of their activities.
• Financial Systems and Transformation: Champion the enhancement and transformation of financial flows and practices. Lead initiatives to integrate innovative solutions and technologies that improve financial reporting, analysis, and overall operational efficiency. Ensure the finance function is leveraging cutting-edge tools to maintain a competitive edge in financial management.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Extensive experience in financial management, particularly in a leadership role overseeing financial practices.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, with a focus on advanced data analysis and financial modeling.
