Due to a number of ongoing projects and uplifts within our Technology Operations team we have a 6-month opportunity for a Senior Network Hosting Engineer to join us. You’ll be supporting the Network Engineering Team with BAU activities. As an integral part of the Network Hosting Team the Senior Network Engineer you’ll provide technical support to ensure the provision and operation of hosted Datacentre and cloud network services that meet the reliability/availability standards as agreed with the business to support all day-to-day operations and meet performance targets.
Skills required to be successful in the role:
7 years minimum of commercial IT experience, attainted in a similar network support/engineering role.
Experience with Azure cloud networking or any other cloud services like AWS or GCP.
A level of technical expertise in the support and management of network infrastructure. The Ability to produce and review technical documentation.
Certifications in relevant fields are high regarded.
ITIL understanding and application
Broad exposure to the configuration and maintenance of networking/communications infrastructure, including the ability to support a variety of technologies.
Advanced skills in Cisco based routing and switching platforms. IOS, NXOS and routing Protocols – OSPF and BGP
Advanced skills in F5 BIG-IP LTM
Advanced scripting and development skills in network configuration and automation such as Python, terraform, Ansible
Advanced skills in Palo Alto firewall and security platforms
