We are a successful civil contracting business who has been operating in Australia for over 35 years. With the agility and personal connection of a Tier 2, yet the expertise of a Tier 1, and the enhanced resources of one of the largest, world-class construction companies, VINCI, our employees and clients get the best of three worlds.

As a progressive, leading civil engineering firm built on the strong foundations of our unique history, we engage, enable and empower our people to be better. With you, we are altogether stronger, in building the future we want.

We’re excited to be delivering a Major Road Upgrade Project in South Australia, a major infrastructure initiative designed to ease congestion, enhance safety, and improve connectivity at a key intersection.

We’re looking for a driven Senior Project Engineer (Civil) who has proven experience across roads, bridges, structures, and complex civil works. You are someone who thrives on leading from the front, especially when it comes to safety, quality, and performance. You'll be the linchpin between technical excellence and project delivery, managing everything from risk and compliance to procurement and subcontractor performance. With a strong grasp of contractual requirements and a passion for developing people, you'll play a key role in driving productivity, hitting program targets, and ensuring our projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards.

About the role:

Lead safety and compliance: Champion the safety culture on-site, ensuring all HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) responsibilities are met in alignment with the project's management plans.
Technical and contractual oversight: Apply deep knowledge of client specifications, quality systems, and head contract requirements, including managing ITPs, NCRs, variations, and risk assessments.
Project and team management: Direct and support the project team by assigning tasks, developing short- and medium-term programs, monitoring subcontractor performance, and driving site productivity.
Procurement and planning: Coordinate procurement packages, negotiate best value, and align delivery with project timelines while proactively planning future resources and plant requirements.
Risk, compliance, and development: Identify risks/opportunities, ensure compliance with legislation and insurance requirements, and engage in performance management and development of engineers under your supervision.
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

Qualified Civil Engineer with a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent and experience delivering infrastructure projects for State authorities.
Strong project management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, preparing claims and variations, and managing contracts.
Proficient in construction systems and processes, with solid knowledge of WHS, Quality, Environmental procedures, and software like Microsoft Suite and Viewpoint.
Skilled in documentation, including preparing Safe Work Method.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Current C-Class Driver’s Licence.
We have a range of additional benefits available for our employees:

Health & Wellbeing – discounted health insurance, seasonal vaccinations, wellness discounts, fertility benefit and employee assistance program (EAP).
Time for life / Work life balance – birthday leave, purchased leave program, paid parental leave and flexible work arrangements.
Financial wellbeing – competitive remuneration, annual performance bonuses, salary continuance insurance and employee share program.
Career development – training, mentoring programs, and leadership development program.
Many of our projects are located in regional areas, therefore, all applicants must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have their own transport.
