EaseUp is a community-focused mobile service dedicated to supporting rangatahi (youth aged 12-24) who are facing challenges related to mental health and/or ******* and other drug (AOD) issues. Our team of clinicians and peer support workers collaborate with rangatahi and their whānau to provide brief, effective interventions that empower youth to manage their mental and physical well-being.
He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role
As a Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in providing clinical leadership to our Child and Youth Mental Health & Addiction service. You will lead a dedicated team of clinicians and peer support specialists to deliver high-quality care to rangatahi and their whānau. Your leadership will ensure our services are effectively managed, with a focus on achieving positive outcomes for those who use our services. You will also be responsible for fostering key partnerships with external stakeholders, such as schools, Oranga Tamariki, and community groups, to ensure rangatahi have access to the support they need.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical expertise and leadership, ensuring safe and effective service delivery for rangatahi and whānau.
Oversee a team of clinicians and peer support specialists, providing coaching, mentoring, and supervision.
Ensure best practice in mental health and AOD interventions, working alongside key stakeholders to create comprehensive care plans.
Drive continuous service improvement and support the development of appropriate referral pathways.
Develop strong relationships with external partners including schools, healthcare providers, and other community organisations.
Monitor service performance, manage budgets, and oversee resource allocation to meet service goals.
Champion a culture of safety, wellbeing, and high standards of care for rangatahi and the team.
He kōrero mōu | About You
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic leader who is passionate about working with rangatahi, their whānau, and the broader community to improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes. You will bring a blend of clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a collaborative approach to the team. Required Qualifications & Experience:
Relevant degree-level qualification in mental health, social work, nursing, or a related field.
A registered health professional with current Annual Practicing Certificate under the HPCA Act 2003 (e.g. Registered Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist).
At least 6 years of experience working in mental health and addiction services, with at least 1 year of experience in a leadership role.
Strong clinical knowledge, particularly in youth mental health and AOD services.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Full, clean NZ driver's license.
Desirable Skills:
Experience working with diverse cultures, particularly Māori and Pasifika communities.
Expertise in human resource management, including team coaching, performance management, and recruitment.
Advanced knowledge in service planning and delivery with a focus on person-centered care.
