At Air-Met Scientific, we're seeking a dedicated, reliable and experienced Service Technician to join our team in Artarmon. This full-time position offers competitive compensation, a supportive work environment, and opportunities for professional growth.


The Opportunity
As a Service Technician, you'll play a crucial role in our team, actively engaging with our customers and taking on a range of responsibilities, including:

Servicing, maintaining, calibrating, and repairing handheld and fixed scientific instruments.
Managing customer relationships and providing equipment and application support.
Traveling to customer sites to install, commission, inspect, and repair gas detection and environmental monitoring equipment.
In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting service repairs, maintenance, and calibration on a variety of occupational health, safety, and environmental monitoring equipment. Additionally, you'll have the chance to showcase your communication skills by offering technical support and solutions to customers and colleagues while managing your own time effectively.


About You:
We're looking for candidates who possess the following qualities and qualifications:

Industry experience with electronics repair, troubleshooting of gas detection, personal sampling equipment, and prior service technician experience.
Ability to quickly grasp technical information and a desire to continually expand your knowledge.
TAFE qualifications in instrumentation/electronics would be advantageous.
Friendly, proactive, and professional personality with excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and customer relationship management skills are preferred.
Willingness to adapt to change and embrace new challenges.
A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
Enthusiasm for speaking with customers, building relationships, and providing value to customer solutions.
Ability to pass a medical examination and routine drug and ******* testing on customer sites.
Full COVID-1+ vaccination.
