Are you creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about the arts? Do you love creating content for social media and have experience across multiple platforms?

Through the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program, the Quinte Arts Council (QAC) is hiring two dynamic individuals for the following positions:

Social Media Community Manager and Special Events Coordinator.

These are temporary full-time positions (35 hours/week for 8 weeks at $1+.20/hour), beginning as early as April 28, 2025.

To be eligible, applicants must meet the CSJ criteria, including being under the age of 30 at the start of employment.

Position 1: Social Media Community Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and create content for all QAC social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn
Assist in the development, analysis, and rollout of digital marketing campaigns
Promote and maintain the QAC brand voice and visual identity
Create newsletters, eblasts, and automated email campaigns
Support the vision and production of local arts and culture podcasts
Collaborate with the audio team to ensure high-quality sound and storytelling
Contribute to podcast production from planning to release, including feedback and troubleshooting
Manage podcast schedules and communications with team members and guests
Assist in the development of new podcast series
Position 2: Special Events Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

Support planning, coordination, and logistics for QAC events
Manage digital files and timelines; maintain event and volunteer databases
Oversee guest/participant services and implement best practices during events
Assist with on-site participant management, conflict resolution, and team communication
Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training (virtual if needed), and scheduling
Create engaging content for QAC articles, social media, the website, and online calendars
Capture event highlights, assist with photography, and compile post-event reports and evaluations
Provide thoughtful recommendations for future event improvements
Collaborate on the development of new podcast series
