About the Role
As the world leader in Digital Imaging we inspire people to connect, communicate, imagine and achieve more than they thought possible. Making the consumer the focus of everything we do and by interacting throughout the business you will help to guide and drive the business to deliver social engagement as well as champion innovation in line with the overall business strategy.
In this varied and exciting role, you will manage the planning and execution of content across Canon Australia and New Zealand social channels while driving efficiencies in messaging, content alignment and maximising engagement. The role will bring innovative ideas and opportunities to the forefront to drive Canon’s future success. This is a Macquarie Park based role with work from home options. It reports to the Manager – Social Media & Community.
Main Duties
Planning
Manage the social media calendar to incorporate and align with requirements from various stakeholders
Curate and manage all published content for Canon ANZ social channels, working closely with the Manager – Social Media & Community
Ensure the development of all social content to drive engagement, reach and growth
Develop plans for community and channel improvements
Develop tactical plans that align with the overall social and business objectives, including campaigns and product launches
Manage paid social budget within guidelines via Canon’s media agency and report monthly to Manager
Identify opportunities to collaborate with key community members and partners, including retailers, influencers and creators
Execution
Execute content strategy and manage the implementation, including writing, editing and publishing content, aligning with social media strategy across platforms
Drive traffic and SEO benefits to canon.com.au through content planning and execution.
Execute influencer strategy and advocate programme working closely with wider marketing team. Work closely with our PR agency to manage the Canon Product review program sourcing and recommending influencers and creators that fit the Canon brand.
Moderation
Moderate Canon ANZ social media channels, ensuring queries are responded to in a timely manner
Work with the Canon Customer Care team to raise issues, find solutions and track them through to resolution
Analytics
Ensure relevant tracking on posts to provide insights. Find ways to improve on key metrics through test and learn activities and new initiatives
Review social media listening and monitoring for content opportunities
Deliver timely post analysis reports and insights to various stakeholders
Optimise platforms, based on insights, with clear objectives and KPIs
About You
You bring at least 2 years social media experience including planning & publishing. You know how to manage multiple social platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok to deliver a compelling message to our target audience. You are a great copywriter with really strong attention to detail and you have experience in using Social Media Management tools for reporting such as Emplifi or Salesforce Social Studio as well as native channel analytics to track performance and look for opportunities for continuous improvement.
