About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Administrator to join our team at Broadridge Financial Solutions. As a key member of our global DB Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our database systems and providing top-notch support to our clients.

Your primary duties will include performing routine database administration tasks, identifying and resolving database performance issues, and conducting ongoing monitoring and proactive management of database systems. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal database performance and support the organization's data management objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine database administration tasks, including installation, configuration, migration, patches, and upgrades of database systems.
• Identify and resolve database performance issues, including tuning SQL queries, optimizing indexing, and implementing necessary database changes.
• Conduct ongoing monitoring and proactive management of database systems to ensure high availability and performance.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's or equivalent degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a DBA or similar role, with expertise in database administration for large-scale systems.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in database administration or operations. Strong knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Windows, Unix or Linux.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their RDBMS databases as well as database monitoring and management tools.
• Proficiency in Shell script or PowerShell, SQL scripting, performance tuning, and optimization techniques.

Salary Estimate: $85,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
