DESCRIPTION

This position is part of the AWS Specialist and Partner Organization (ASP). Specialists own the end-to-end go-to-market strategy for their respective technology domains, providing the business and technical expertise to help our customers succeed. Partner teams own the strategy, recruiting, development, and growth of our key technology and consulting partners. Together they provide our customers with the expertise and scale needed to build innovative solutions for their most complex challenges.

Our organization focuses on scaling the various day to day functions of the broader AWS field. We're streamlining the delivery process by revolutionizing how technical content is validated and reviewed, allowing us to get it into the hands of customers faster. This service sits at the intersection of AWS' various content delivery channels including hands on technical content, blog posts, and Solutions Architect generated content and leverages new technologies, including GenerativeAI, to accelerate this process while also providing a more scalable way of enforcing our high quality bar that customers expect. We are seeking an entrepreneurial and innovative Senior Product Manager - Technical to conceptualize, drive, and deliver the strategy and product roadmap for this critical service.

In this role, you will work backwards from customer needs to understand their challenges and define experiences that make it easy for technical content creators and various builder personas to create and safely deliver content meeting AWS's quality and security standards. You'll drive the integration of GenerativeAI solutions to enhance automation capabilities while partnering with science and engineering teams to create cohesive user experiences. Working with a dedicated team of talented engineers, you'll be responsible for product exploration, design, and launch of solutions that will directly impact every customer across all AWS services.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical acumen with the ability to dive deep into complex systems, paired with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, customer-facing features. You should excel in strategic thinking and creative problem-solving, with exceptional analytical and writing skills. Your ability to drive alignment across teams in ambiguous environments, coupled with an entrepreneurial mindset and relentless customer focus, will be crucial to success in this role.

You'll thrive in this position if you're passionate about inventing new solutions, working with technical teams, and continuously improving processes. We're looking someone who is excited about thinking of new and innovative ways to deliver what's best for our customers. Join us in accelerating the delivery of trusted AWS knowledge and enabling customers to innovate faster in the cloud.

Key job responsibilities
You have broad understanding of systems and software engineering concepts, and apply this technical knowledge to invent, evolve, improve, and simplify.
You define the strategic vision and the long-term roadmap to achieve it, ensuring you are working backwards from customers and utilizing data analysis to guide you.
You lead internal technical conversations by outlining the technical design, being the owner of trade-offs between technical cost and business value.
You understand and can represent the reasons behind the architecture decisions of product or feature, and consistently bring strong, data-driven business and technical judgement to decisions.
You partner effectively with other leaders involved in the design, development, and delivery of software systems and features.
You influence adjacent teams’ roadmaps, and collaborate with them regarding approach and prioritization.
You create success measurements linked to desired customer outcomes, set goal targets for these measurements, and are responsible for defect identification communication and reporting.

About the team
We sit within the Scaling Technology Team and we focus on how to enable the field to move quickly and more efficiently.
