We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role will offer you the opportunity to refine your accounting skills while contributing to the financial success of our company. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for multiple facets of accounting, including but not limited to, general ledger maintenance, bookkeeping, preparing tax returns, and creating financial statements. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience and offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

As a Staff Accountant, your key responsibilities will include
• Maintaining and updating the general ledger and subsidiary books.
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
• Managing company ledgers and daily reconciliation of accounts.
• Preparing accurate quarterly and annual tax returns.
• Performing regular, detailed audits to ensure accuracy in financial documents, expenditures, and investments.
• Forecasting and planning future budgeting needs.
• Implementing and adhering to internal financial and accounting controls and processes.
• Collaborating with external auditors and managing the auditing process.
• Utilizing Quickbooks for various accounting tasks and reporting.
• Assisting in other accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a public accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge in Excel.
• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks.
• Extensive understanding of general ledger functions and financial statements.
• Excellent knowledge of bookkeeping and tax return preparation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
