Job Duties and Responsibilities:
DISH is looking for a Staff Accountant I to join our Tax Team. This position will be part of a highly collaborative team with a mix of Income Tax, Sales & Use, and Property Tax professionals who take pride in their contributions to the Company’s success. This Accountant will be performing monthly account reconciliations and analyses, ensuring tax payments are sent timely to appropriate tax jurisdictions, and performing critical monthly tasks, which may include, but will not be limited to, preparing month-end close journal entries, gathering data from billing and tax systems, and ensuring appropriate indirect tax documentation and controls are in place.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations
Perform various month-end close tasks
Initiate electronic sales tax payments
Reconcile tax payments to bank account and general ledger
Perform other duties as assigned, including support of special projects related to indirect tax
Support process transformation utilizing data analytics tools
Skills, Experience and Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and a general knowledge of sales and use tax
Experience with Alteryx, Cash Pro, and Orbit Analytics a plus
Skills and Qualifications:
Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Capability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure, dynamic environment
Detail-oriented with strong organization skills
Ability to analyze large amounts of data

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.

Salary Range: USD $63150.00 - $90000.00 / Year
