Staff Pharmacist (Short-Term Contract)

We are a small local pharmacy whose mission is to provide the upmost care to patients and, in doing so, contribute to the community.

We are looking for a PT Staff Pharmacist to join our team for two months! You will be responsible for dispensing drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners to patients. Hours to start are 10:00AM to 5:00PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays and 11:00AM to 1:00PM on Sundays.

Responsibilities:

Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or to other health care professionals and advise them on indications, contra-indications, adverse effects, drug interactions and dosage
Order and maintain stock of pharmaceutical supplies
Advise customers on selection and use of non-prescription medication
Compound and dispense prescribed medications
Advise physicians and health practitioners on the interactions and side effects of medications
Provide patients with pertinent drug information
Proactively review prescriptions for proper dosage
Supervise and maintain records of all medications
Other duties as per pharmacy owner
Qualifications:

Registered with the BC College of Pharmacists and in Good Standing
Minimum 1 year of previous experience working in a retail pharmacy
Proficient in WinRX
Injection Certified
Teamwork-oriented
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Is willing to do what it takes to care for patients and grow the pharmacy
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Preferred: Certification in ****** Use Disorder Maintenance
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 23 per week
