We are the Murex Operations chapter, part of the Murex crew in IB&M Technology. Here, we work in close collaboration with the business delivering change and support for the Global Markets business with focus on the Market Operations team focusing on the various key deliverables including a binary upgrade and building out the Global Securities Financing business.

Our purpose is to support the business in building out new products while maintaining a stable, scalable and resilient platform to help our business stakeholders realise maximum value from Murex, while managing their risk appropriately.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

Have solid hands-on experience supporting and developing on Murex whilst focusing on risk management, stability and performance of the Murex Platform

Posses strong business knowledge and experience working in global markets/investment banks

Are constantly contributing to the codebase to improve its supportability and influence the change roadmap to guarantee its long-term sustainability

Have experience using public cloud services and cloud-hosted applications eg AWS

Pride themselves on their knowledge which they are sharing with their peers whilst continuously learning more themselves along the way

Are comfortable working on CICD pipelines using common industry tools like Github and Jenkins

Pride themselves on mentoring and coaching junior team members

Tech Skills:

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team;

AWS: EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch

CI/CD tools (i.e. GitHub Actions, Step Functions, Jenkins)

Observability (especially the OpenTelemetry framework)

Python

DevSecOps experience

AWS CDK library
