In this role, you will:
• Become a vital part of our talent pipeline for upcoming projects in the Transportation sector.
• Bring your expertise and enthusiasm as we consider you for future positions that match your skills and interests.
• Act as a client representative overseeing the structures component of projects, ensuring safe and efficient progress.
• Conduct inspections and maintain documentation to ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
• Utilize your engineering expertise to assess project structures for adherence to specifications and plans.
• Collaborate closely with the Resident Engineer and project teams to provide essential technical support for structural work.
• Interpret project plans, technical specifications, and relevant contract documents.
• Review and generate contract change orders and requests for information on structural items.
• Ensure proper documentation related to structures is managed effectively.
• Coordinate quality testing for structural work.
• Foster teamwork among all project stakeholders.
• Work directly onsite with clients and partners, which may include a mix of day and night shifts.
• Engage with colleagues for collaboration, skill development, and relationship building.
Compensation for this position ranges from $125,000 to $200,000 annually. Your specific salary may vary based on multiple factors, including role and location.
Qualifications required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• EIT certification is mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in roadway or highway inspection, including bridge structures and retaining walls.
• At least 2 years of experience as a lead worker in structural construction and inspection.
• A minimum of 2 years in CALTRANS roadway and bridge construction projects.
• 3 years of experience with CALTRANS procedures and Construction Manuals.
Bonus qualifications include:
• PE registration in California.
• Relevant certifications such as CMIT, ACI, NICET, or APWA.
• Experience overseeing field construction activities and interacting with clients and contractors.
• Strong understanding of contract documents and ability to resolve discrepancies.
• Experience in analyzing temporary structures like Falsework and Shoring Systems.
