Your Opportunity

Stantec Consulting Services, Inc. has an opening for a Survey Technician in our Winnipeg, Manitoba office, working within our Transportation team.

Your Key Responsibilities

Perform survey data acquisition and project control.
Provide survey oversight of ongoing construction activities including material quantity calculations.
Review results of field surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of roadways and surrounding land features.
Load vehicles with tools and equipment, ensuring materials are loaded safely and correctly.
Required to own and maintain own vehicle and will be required to drive personal vehicle to jobsites.
Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
Verifies accuracy of filed data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
Prepares data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to work conducted.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Adhere to company safety polices along with use of personal protective equipment, (PPE).
Complete internal and external training as required.
Some projects may require occasional travel.
Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

Good communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working outdoors.
Possess the ability to safely perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions.
Enjoys working within a team environment, listens well, eager to participate.
Availability to travel for out of town projects when needed.
Computer and math skills are a plus.
Physically able to lift up 50 lbs and ability to work in the field in all types of weather conditions.
Education and Experience

High school diploma.
Valid driver's license.
