The Role
Reporting to the Director Corporate, Strategy and Insight, the Site Coordinator will manage and deliver site-specific corporate, property and accommodation services across the NSW/ACT State Office, with specific responsibility for our two Sydney office locations.
The Site Coordinator will undertake the property management of the office(s), manage local accommodation plans, onboard and offboard staff, manage site equipment, assets, building passes and be involved in WHS and Emergency management at the site. Being part of the corporate team, you will also assist with administrative functions and project management.
An important part of the role will be a focus on promoting Team DEWR culture at the site. You will organise local activities that foster a positive workplace culture such as diversity events, social club to ensure inclusion of all APS staff in each location. You will reinforce corporate messages on a state/territory basis. Provide local support and mentoring as needed.
You will connect with the DEWR Site Coordinator network, sharing ideas and best practice and contribute to site coordination policy development, and provide input to emergency management, business continuity planning, risk assessment and contribute to DEWR’s Future Ways of Working policies.
This role has workplace responsibilities, and the successful candidate will be required to work in the office 5 days per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
Site Coordinators are a dedicated role that will implement all elements of property and accommodation services, with a people first focus. To be successful in this role, you will perform a range of operational functions, including:
Ongoing management of accommodation plans, including provision of concierge support services to staff using Appspace for desk sharing/bookings at each location.
Managing the site(s), ensuring our people are supported and safe by maintaining Business Continuity Plans and being a point of contact for Emergency Management Staff and WHS for the Sydney site locations.
Developing a strong network, internally and externally to address property issues, maintenance requests and IT support services.
Provide administrative functions to support the office and the Corporate, Strategy and Insights team and secretariat support to visiting executives and/or departments.
You will demonstrate a high level of resourcefulness, initiative, and flexibility, and share information, learnings, and experience with others.
Develop innovative social activities that create an inclusive and supportive culture, support the social club to deliver key functions and to celebrate national days. Contributing positively to branch activities and model behaviours that drive a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications and Education
Year 12 or equivalent certification desired but not essential and a willingness to build a strong knowledge of property and office management.
Proficiency in Microsoft programs is essential.
A driver’s licence is desired but not essential.
