Looking for your next step or perhaps for an entirely new career path? We are in search of a highly detail-oriented person to join our team as a tax preparer. This full-time role will join our small team in supporting our 600+ business and individual clients with tax preparation, bookkeeping services, and payroll. Our ideal candidate works well on a team, learns quickly, and is a strong, professional communicator.

An Important Note: If you are looking for a place to earn hours toward your CPA certification then this is not the role for you. We are Enrolled Agents, not CPAs. If, however, you are interested in obtaining the Enrolled Agent certification we can and will help you get that if you accept a job offer with us.

Duties Include:

Preparation & review of federal & state income tax returns for business and individual clients
Maintain strict confidentiality and privacy practices while working with highly sensitive personal information
Communicate with clients to ensure accuracy, set expectations, and deliver exceptional customer service
Stay informed about tax law changes and implement them accordingly
Perform bookkeeping services for our business clients with accuracy, including, but not limited to, bank and credit card account reconciliation, end-of-year journal entries, and report preparation, as needed.
Run payroll and pay taxes for our business clients with absolute accuracy
Requirements:

Reliable attendance in-office. This is not a remote position.
Excellent attention to detail.
Superior written & verbal communication skills in interacting with clients and with other office staff.
Quick Learner who operates with the utmost integrity.
1+ years prior experience in a bookkeeping, payroll, or accounting role.
Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
Tax planning and prep skills preferred but not required. We are willing to train you from the ground up.
Ability to work overtime during tax season, generally for just March and April.
