Role Description:

We are seeking a Tax Specialist for a contract remote role. As a Tax Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert tax preparation, consultation, and compliance services to clients. This role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, ensuring that clients receive accurate and timely tax filings while maximizing deductions and minimizing liabilities. You will work closely with clients remotely, delivering high-quality services and maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Provide tax consultation and advice, helping clients navigate complex tax regulations.
• Review financial records, such as income statements and documentation of expenses, to determine forms needed for tax returns.
• Identify opportunities for tax savings, credits, and deductions while ensuring compliance with tax laws.
• Assist with IRS correspondence and audits as necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to provide expert-level service to clients.
• Communicate with clients via phone, email, or video conferencing to gather information and address questions.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Tax Specialist or Tax Preparer.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in tax software and the ability to adapt to new systems.
