Salary: Outer London Main/Upper Pay Range

We are looking for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Mathematics to join our over-subscribed school with a thriving sixth form.

Mathematics is held in high regard at The Hollyfield School. Many go on to study Mathematics at A Level in our thriving sixth form. We are currently developing our knowledge-rich curriculum in conjunction with our partner Mathematics Faculties in the Trust in order to provide our students with a world class programme of study. The faculty has an excellent extra-curricular offering including; University visits, guest speakers, Numeracy week and the UK Mathematics Challenge with many of our students achieving Gold.

This post is suitable for an experienced teacher or an ECT who would receive excellent support from a hardworking and dedicated department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is committed to inspiring and motivating students through their innovative and engaging teaching.

The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:

● QTS;

● a broad base of subject knowledge;

● the ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5;

● a clear vision for a knowledge-rich curriculum;

● a clear understanding of successful classroom practice and

evidence based teaching;

● employs a range of teaching and learning strategies;

● the ability to work effectively as part of a curriculum team;

● the ability to maintain good classroom behaviour;

● effective interpersonal skills;

● able to demonstrate suitability to work with children and

young people.
