About the Team and the Role



The team you will join is welcoming and knowledgeable and ready to collaborate to continually improve our systems and processes.

Your day-to-day will involve ensuring a smooth flow of activity within the team with regard to inspections, patrols and investigations of all matters under the direction of the Manager Compliance, including patrols of beaches, reserves and
streets.

You will ensure that all complaints received or referred are thoroughly and courteously investigated and take all necessary action to resolve the situation using Council policy and procedures in a prompt and timely manner.



About You

To be successful in this role you will have a Degree or Diploma in Town Planning, Building Surveying or Environmental Health, or certificate 1V in Management, Law or Local Government regulations or related field.

You will have minimum five years demonstrated experience in law enforcement procedures relevant to law enforcement activities or related experience.

With a ‘can-do’ attitude you will have the ability and experience regarding Court processes and presentation of evidence. With a minimum of two years sound knowledge of the Companion Animals Act, Roads Act, Environmental Assessment and Planning Act 1+7+, Local Government Act 1++3, The Public Spaces (Unattended Property) Act 2021 Protections of the Environment Act and other related legislation.

In addition to the above you will hold an unrestricted and current Class C Drivers Licence and a current Frist Aid Certificate.

This position is subject to a National Police check conducted by Council.
