About the Project:
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the buyer's ScienceLAN End Point Refresh Deployment and Citrix build and implementation projects. This includes writing technical documentation, developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and supporting the transition of technology implementations across Infrastructure Services, Networks, Data Centre, and Cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation Development and Management:
Create, review, and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), design documents, and service transition materials.
Ensure all documentation meets organisational standards and aligns with project objectives.
Clean up and refine existing technical documentation across the environment.
Technical Review and Quality Assurance:
Review and validate technical designs, user guides, and system documentation.
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.
Identify gaps and inconsistencies in current documentation and address them effectively.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to capture complex technical processes and translate them into clear, user-friendly documentation.
Provide technical writing support for the Citrix build and implementation, including upgrades and desktop application support.
Assist end users by answering questions and providing guidance during system retesting and redeployment phases.
Document Control and Management Systems:
Upload, manage, and maintain technical documentation within ServiceNow and SharePoint Records Management.
Ensure compliance with records management policies and maintain version control for all technical documents.
System and Process Analysis:
Review and document existing systems, processes, and workflows to facilitate better understanding and operational efficiency.
Support the development of transition-to-service documentation for new ScienceLAN technology implementations.
Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a Technical Writer within large-scale ICT environments, preferably within government or Defence sectors.
Strong ability to develop technical documentation, SOPs, and service transition materials.
Experience working with ServiceNow, SharePoint or similar systems for document management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
