As a Facilities Coordinator I, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining the daily operations of our buildings and office space while providing top-notch customer service to both internal and external parties. Internally, you will proactively support multiple Facilities & Safety administrative functions, including coordinating repairs, maintenance, and inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure optimal performance of systems such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. You’ll track open and aging service tickets and correspond with internal clients to address their needs and update request statuses. You’ll also help organize office layouts and assist with coordinating office moves and furniture installations. Additionally, you’ll order and restock supplies as needed to support both the Safety and Facilities functions. Externally, you'll coordinate and correspond with multiple vendors and service providers professionally. You'll be responsible for tracking janitorial services and reports, maintaining office and breakroom supplies, and assisting with scheduling training events and other conference room management tasks. You'll prepare and submit expense reports and purchase requisitions and maintain contact information and filing systems. You will also be responsible for the timely execution of all clerical duties, including copying, scanning, faxing, filing, and data entry. Moreover, you will perform tasks that contribute to the completion of various projects and goals within the Facilities & Safety organization. Join us and take your career to the next level! The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber. Responsibilities: Update the Origami/PM database with costs, scope, and supporting documentation associated with preventative maintenance and repair activities. Liaise with Facilities & Safety vendors to ensure services are scheduled as intended, visits are registered with Security and scheduled activities are communicated to Administration and affected users. Enter monthly safety audit findings into Safety database. Obtain pricing for repairs and special projects, submit purchase requisitions, confirm & validate project completions and ensure all necessary billing is accurate and submitted as needed. Communicate and coordinate with the janitorial crew to schedule special requests and planned services, report findings and log janitorial quality reports into database as needed. Monitor incoming service tickets to ensure timely response by Maintenance or Safety Specialists, track all open work orders to completion and record all ergonomic tickets for Safety/HR tracking purposes. Track internal use of maintenance and safety supplies, establish Kanban reorder points to enable streamlined ordering efforts and order & restock supplies as needed. Process internal expense reports and credit card reconciliations, coordinate meetings through scheduling and meal coordination as needed, assist employees with processing of personal protective equipment purchases or reimbursements as needed. Qualifications You Must Have: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and 0 - 1 year of administrative experience. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required. Must have basic knowledge of administrative practices, to include clerical duties such as data entry, filing and utilizing office equipment. Must have experience with maintaining a secured facility, or working in a military or Department of Defense environment. Professional demeanor and excellent communications skills required, including the ability to manage a multi-line phone system. Must be extremely dynamic, demonstrate initiative, and have the ability to multi-task in a very fast paced-environment. Must be able to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with Microsoft collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint Experience with Security and Safety protocols Experience with Concur Travel and Expense platform or other travel management system Experience with the Origami or other, similar, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or database platform. We are seeking a motivated senior editor to oversee our Culture and Travel channels, where they’ll assign, edit, and write highly engaging content. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of the digital media landscape, the ability to think creatively about multimedia content, and a passion for outdoor culture, travel news and service.

Within 1 month, you will:
• Assign and edit articles for Outside Online (reported, first-person, lists, essays, humor)
• Write news and service articles for Outside Online as needed
• Implement SEO best practices for all related stories
• Workshop display copy with team
• Attend news meetings and team pitch meetings
• Manage contracts and payments for freelancers
• Ideate article ideas based on audience research
• Build articles and source art for Outside Online in CMS
• Update archival stories, utilizing SEO tools
• Assign and edit or write affiliate stories as needed
• Incorporate multimedia elements, such as maps and archival videos into your stories
• Oversee the Travel Channel’s Destinations newsletter
• Fact-check and copy edit content
• Demonstrate ability to adapt and prioritize in a dynamic environment

Within 6 months, you will:
• Oversee Travel and Culture channel columnists
• Strategize and experiment with new ways to highlight maps in the Travel and Culture sections
• Engage with the Travel and Culture sections’ presence on the Outside Activity Feed
• Assign, edit, and embed videos related to your story assignments; and create your own video recaps, as well
• Assign and edit for print as needed in the Travel and Culture sections, and beyond
• Begin pitching and assigning longform features
• Bring new voices and freelance writers to Outside
• Work with the newsletter team to launch a Culture newsletter

Within 12 months, you will:
• Grow roster of regular freelance contributors
• Own the Travel and Culture sections’ presence on the Outside Activity Feed
• Strategize and implement mapping conversion tactics, especially on the Travel channel
• Implement and manage a robust video strategy for the Travel and Culture channels
• Grow content for audience segments

What YOU bring to Outside:
• 5+ years of experience in digital editing
• Exceptional writing, editing, and organizational skills
• Comfort with digital publishing tools and workflows like WordPress, the Google Suite, Parse.ly, Photoshop, etc.
