Job Summary
The Faculty of Computer Science (FCS) offers degrees tailored to match individual interests in a high-tech discipline at the forefront of innovation. Staff work with faculty members to help build a foundation for student success as students prepare, through academics and research, for a career in one of the world’s hottest growth industries. Reporting to the Dean, the Undergraduate Recruitment Manager is the lead for undergraduate recruitment strategy development and execution within the Faculty of Computer Science.

Key Responsibilities
In alignment with the Office of Student Recruitment & Marketing, develop and execute the Faculty’s recruitment, conversion and transition strategy for domestic and international students in all computer science undergraduate programs.
Develop and execute country and region-specific recruitment strategies to align with the unique wants, needs and barriers of existing and emerging recruitment markets.
Develop and manage all aspects of on-campus recruitment events and represent the Faculty of Computer Science at events which may include, but not limited to school fairs, community events, campus visits, classroom visits.
In alignment with the Faculty’s EDIA goals, develop focused recruitment strategies and plans to diversify the incoming class utilizing communications, marketing, community outreach, events and scholarships. Diversification should focus on female, Indigenous and African Nova Scotian/African Canadian students.
Implement, deliver, and evaluate one-to-one communications strategies for prospective students that might include inquiry follow-ups, surveys, phonation, writing letters to counselors and students, and hosting focus groups.
Work in partnership with the Assistant Dean, Outreach to identify, create and amplify partnerships with community organizations that align with the Faculty of Computer Science missions and values with the goal of brand building and student recruitment.

Note
The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.


Required Qualifications
Undergraduate degree, ideally in business, marketing, or related field, plus a minimum of three to five years’ relevant experience in recruitment, sales or a business development role (or equivalent combination of training and experience).
Strong social media skills as well as experience in public speaking, event planning, marketing, and/or project oversight.
Must have demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently and strategically are required.

Assets
Experience in a post-secondary environment, recruitment, sales and/or business development.
Direct knowledge of high school programs in Canada and undergraduate computer science programs in Canada and Internationally.
