Pay Rate: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
Working Hours: Rostered shifts including weekends, public holidays, and late evenings
About the Role:
Are you a hospitality professional who enjoys creating vibrant social spaces and leading from the front? Lakeside Trading Limited, trading as The Kaipara Tavern in Helensville, is looking for two enthusiastic Venue Managers to join our team.
Our venue operates a bar with Class 4 gaming machines, providing a welcoming environment for locals and visitors alike. While prior knowledge of gaming operations is preferred, it's not essential — we're more focused on finding capable, energetic leaders who are passionate about hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of the bar and gaming area to ensure smooth functioning.
Supervise and support staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
Contribute to planning and executing promotional events, activities, and marketing ideas to attract patrons.
Ensure compliance with liquor and gaming license requirements at all times.
Monitor venue cleanliness, stock levels, and customer satisfaction.
Maintain staff rosters, performance, and conduct regular team meetings.
Handle customer feedback and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure all safety, security, and health regulations are followed.
Report directly to the business owner and assist with venue improvements and planning.
Requirements:
Minimum 1-year Diploma in Hospitality or Business (Level 5 or higher preferred), or at least 2 years of relevant experience in the hospitality sector.
Manager’s Certificate (LCQ) is essential.
Flexibility to work across various shifts including weekends, late evenings, and public holidays.
Strong communication and team management skills.
A positive, proactive, and customer-focused attitude.
