Looking to hire a Director General (Vice Chancellor) based out of Gujarat with 25+ years of experience in education sector and minimum 15 years of teaching & university administration experience
Client Details
Our client is a research-oriented, not-for-profit state private university. They are duly recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under Section 2 (f) of the UGC Act and accredited with A+ grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). They are a student centric university based out of Gujarat and host to multiple disciplines ensuring all-round development of the students aiming at not only producing excellent professionals, but also worthy citizens of our country.
Description
Reporting to the Governing board, you will be responsible for:
• Handling overall management and administration of the university with a clear vision for developing the university into a Centre of Excellence by aligning department goals with university's vision and strategic plan
• Directing university wide program of study, curriculum and professional development within authority delegated by governing board
• Studying current trends in education, exploring alternatives for education as well as challenges faced in training faculty
• Carrying out representation duties with various committees, documenting reports for governing board and preparing for internal or external audits
• Coordinating with other departments and stakeholders in sharing educational and instructional resources
• Leading program development, including curriculum which has an international dimension, instructional strategies, and instructional materials
• Planning and implementing professional development, training for faculty and support staff
• Developing and administering the academic services budget for curriculum, instruction, and professional development
• Creating a culture of compliance within the university with all the stakeholders and aligning all activities within the university in accordance with regulations of state, local, university and sponsoring stakeholders
Profile
Ideally you have minimum 25 years of experience (minimum 15 years of active teaching experience) in education/university administration with a Ph.D. You are great at people management with a proven leadership with an attitude of managing multiple aspects of university. You have excellent communication skills and capable to innovate to ensure overall development of students and other stakeholders for better development. You should have a great work history and are ready for new challenges.
