Join LatinOz QLD as an Event Planner Assistant and help bring vibrant cultural and community events to life.

In this dynamic role, you will assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of various events, ensuring every detail is well-organised and that our guests have an unforgettable experience. Your contributions will directly support LatinOz’s mission of promoting cultural awareness, diversity, and community engagement.
What you'll do:
• Support event planning and scheduling, helping to create engaging experiences for attendees.
• Work alongside vendors, speakers, and volunteers to ensure smooth event operations.
• Assist with event logistics, including venue setup, signage, and technical requirements.
• Help coordinate promotional activities, such as social media outreach and community engagement.
• Provide on-site support during events, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
• Participate in post-event evaluations to identify areas of improvement.
This role is hands-on and dynamic, offering a chance to gain practical experience in event management while working in a welcoming and energetic environment. Whether you're interested in the logistics of large-scale events, community engagement, or developing marketing skills, this volunteer position provides valuable insights and learning opportunities.
Commitment & Requirements:
• Approx. 2-4 hours per week, with flexibility based on event schedules.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Passion for events, culture, and community engagement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Spanish speaker
