Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the warehouse distribution process, ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and safely. This position involves various tasks related to shipping and receiving, order picking, and the operation of heavy equipment. A strong background in warehouse operations is preferred, along with the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate machinery.

Responsibilities

Safely load and unload materials from trucks and containers using forklifts, Over head crane, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks.
Operate RF scanners to track inventory accurately within the warehouse management system.
Perform order picking duties, ensuring accuracy in fulfilling customer orders.
Handle materials with care to prevent damage during transport and storage.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Assist in shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments against packing lists.
Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
Conduct regular inspections of equipment such as cranes and forklifts to ensure proper functioning.
Participate in training programs to enhance skills related to mechanical knowledge and heavy equipment operation.
Qualifications

Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable; experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus.
Familiarity with materials handling techniques and safety protocols.
Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks.
Knowledge of order picking processes and shipping & receiving procedures.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of warehouse management systems.
Experience with RF scanners for inventory management is preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
