As the steward of the early childhood development system, the Office will act on government's behalf, and work in collaboration with the sector, to organise and connect the system to reduce developmental vulnerability.
This includes strategy for the provision of quality preschool for all three and four-year-olds, supporting for families in the first 1000 days of a child’s life and implementing a workforce strategy.
About the Role:
The Talent Attraction and Recruitment Advisor will provide instrumental recruitment support by coordinating and managing key recruitment projects in alignment with the Talent Attraction and Recruitment Strategies for the Office for Early Childhood Development. The Advisor will be responsible for the execution of talent attraction, candidate management, and recruitment activities that achieve desired recruitment and organisational outcomes.
Reporting to the Talent Attraction and Recruitment Lead, the position will be responsible for the candidate attraction, engagement, and management activities as a representative of the HR/Recruitment team and the broader Office. They will conduct talent pipelining activities using resourcing and attraction platforms, systems, and measures, to identify and attract applicants to current and future vacancies or talent communities/pools for the Office.
About You:
You will utilise your recruitment knowledge and experience in conjunction with SA Public Sector code of ethics, policies, and procedures to provide authentic and transparent recruitment advisory that will support to identify, assess, and appoint talent efficiently.
You'll possess a passion for recruitment operational excellence, coupled with a work ethos that focuses on communicative and positive candidate management in all attraction and recruitment stages. You will ideally have experience in project or volume/bulk recruitment and therefore operate with a strong sense of urgency and ability to work toward tight deadlines, while managing a high number of candidates simultaneously. You will enjoy working in a vibrant, supportive, and motivated team within a fast-paced Recruitment environment and broader HR team, whilst being capable to work autonomously with limited direction.
Join us full time until June 2025 initially, to be part of an exciting recruitment accomplishment, building the Office for Early Childhood Development's central, metropolitan and regional teams that will support in the implementation and success of the 3-year-old preschool rollout in South Australia!
Capabilities and experience you will bring:
Proven ability to provide recruitment advice and advisory key internal stakeholders, to establish trust and dedicated support. Confident to provide advice and consultation that support stakeholders in making informed recruitment and hiring decisions.
Ability to manage and coordinate a high volume of applicants for a range of critical vacancies with professionalism, transparency, efficiency, authenticity, and confidence.
Proven high level of understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process. General understanding of talent attraction strategies and the recruitment funnel to support confident execution of activities and the success of the Talent Attraction Strategy.
Demonstrated experience in coordinating significant bulk or volume recruitment projects and/or programs, ideally within a specialised sector, industry, or field.
A tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent experience (desirable).
Special Conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
ASO5 $85,+70 - +5,413 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation
