Job Overview:

The Data Center Engineering Operations Trainee role at Amazon involves working within an Amazon Data Center, focusing on risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting.

This position is a 6-month fixed-term hire with the possibility of becoming a full-time role. As a trainee, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring all work performed adheres to established practices, procedures, and local legislation.

Assist in maintaining performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
Generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets as directed.
Learn and contribute to documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
Support the installation of racks and provision of power/cooling within constraints.
Be involved in routine maintenance and emergency services for various critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with established practices and procedures.
Maintain performance benchmarks and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
Generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets as directed.
Contribute to documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
Support the design, implementation, commissioning, and build-out of new facilities.
