Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated casual Broadcast Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining broadcast and IT systems, ensuring smooth operations across the broadcast infrastructure. You will provide technical assistance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with other technology teams to ensure optimal performance. A strong understanding of broadcast systems, audio engineering, and information technology is essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities: Your daily tasks will include, but are not limited to:

Providing prompt technical support for 6PR broadcast and IT systems.
Managing incidents via service delivery ticketing systems.
Assisting other broadcast technology teams as needed.
Maintaining studio cleanliness and reporting any equipment faults.
Ensuring the accurate playback of commercial material and reporting any discrepancies.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications: We would love to see the following on your resume:

Experience with IT networking and audio over AoIP systems.
Hands-on experience with radio broadcast systems and troubleshooting, including radio telephone systems, radio playout systems, on-air audio systems, and audio distribution via codecs.
Strong understanding of radio outside broadcast systems and implementation.
Solid knowledge of audio engineering principles and techniques.
Understanding of electronics theory and repair skills.
Experience with coding.
Familiarity with Zetta and/or PhoneBox.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well within a team environment.
Qualification in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
