HR & Payroll Advisor
Melbourne CBD (5 mins walk from Southern Cross Station)

Recurrent Energy is looking for a positive and business minded HR & Payroll Advisor who is hands on and loves to look at ways to improve processes and systems and manage end-to-end recruitment. This is a busy and critical role where no two days are the same. It would suit an individual who is looking for variety and is a superstar using systems with prior end-to-end payroll experience.
What will you do?
End-to-end Payroll and maintenance of our HRIS – you will be our superuser!
End-to-end Recruitment and workforce planning
Employee administration as it relates to onboarding/offboarding
Aid employees on employment related matters including leave management, interpretations of Awards, Agreements, and conditions of employment
Supporting management with general HR policy and processes as well as advising on other general HR issues and best practice
Monitor and handling annual and quarterly performance review processes and work with managers to create and maintain ongoing learning and development plans
Ad hoc and regular HR reporting and other tasks as assigned from time to time
Talent management with a focus on performance management
Provide day to day HR operational advice and guidance to staff
Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, systems, culture and engagement of staff
Learning, development and wellbeing initiatives
Support day to day HR operations
Be mentored in strategic HR initiatives
Ad hoc event planning/team building activities
About you:
You are exceptionally organised with a high attention to detail
You have in-house payroll processing experience and knowledge of payroll legislation
You are highly driven with a positive attitude and work ethic
You are seeking a challenge and opportunities to grow in your HR career
You hold a minimum of 3 years’ HR experience in a similar role and have sound ER/IR understanding and interpreting awards
Qualifications in HR, Business, Commerce or similar
Knowledge of contemporary recruitment practices and platforms
You have strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
You are tech savvy, enjoy working with HRIS systems with a strong learning agility
