We are seeking a Human Resources Student for our North American Headquarters (NAHQ) in Edmonton, Alberta, that is available for 4-8 months starting in May 2025. This position will be under the direct supervisor of the Manager, Total Rewards.
As a Human Resources Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:
Supports salary market data analysis, survey provider research, total rewards portal
support, and salary and bonus review process.
Conducts project-based research and preparing presentations.
Uses Excel to track, record, quality check, and report data.
Creates reports to provide data to key stakeholders.
Supports with compliance, policy, process documentation and related tasks.
Provides administrative support for short-term and long-term benefit programs.
Liaises with key stakeholders for feedback on program documents.
Creates, reviews, and updates templates, FAQs, and process guides.
Assists with service award distribution.
Other total rewards tasks as required.
What you will bring to the role:
Pursuing a degree or diploma with a Human Resources, Strategic Management and
Organization, behavioural sciences or a similar focus.
Must be proactive in terms of anticipating needs and follow-up items for the project team.
Proficient in Microsoft office products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
Must have excellent planning and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality required of work assignments and is independent and
resourceful to accomplish day-to-day tasks and assignments.
Must have excellent verbal, written, and grammatical skills.
